  • Chasing comic copy
  • Briefing the illustrator once the copy had been obtained
  • Organising meetings between all parties concerned to check progress
  • Redrawing/colouring illustrator’s pencil drawings in
    Adobe Illustrator
  • Laying out in InDesign, resizing and amending
  • Sending out low-res PDFs to the client and illustrator for feedback and incorporating any amendments
  • Liaising with West Mercia’s printing department
  • Obtaining logos from both Hereford College of Arts and West Mercia Police
  • Sending final low-res PDF artwork to the client for sign off
  • Once approval obtained, sending press-ready PDF to print

"I want to recognise the outstanding work that Pippa and Rebecca have done in a community partnership project. The graphic design lay out and impact of the final product is exceptional and matches perfectly the rhythm of the story and illustrations."
